Today is my favorite day of the year, and the only means of sharing it with my family was a Skype vid-chat through the computer screen, and seeing photos of my siblings and their costumes on my mom's facebook.

My mom gets here in 10 days, and I think I might actually cry when I see her. She is such an amazing person. I miss my whole family very much, and I have a special relationship with each sibling and parent, but my mom is my best friend and going on and off with and without her for the past 5 months after taking her for granted for another 5 is tearing me apart. Halloween is OUR day, and our season, and not being able to share it with her this year has been really strange.

Tomorrow I told my grandma we need to run to the dollar store and get a bunch of clearance candy from Halloween since it is November. I can start counting days instead of months of when I'll get to return to the blizzard in the mitten state. I hate snow and I hate cold - but I couldn't be more excited.
